Manners - Part 2

The neighbourhood dogs must be reading my blog! One of the other dogs, a sweet little Jack Russell no less, came over and left her calling card in our summer kitchen in the form of a steaming pile of dog sh*t. I smell something - no, not that, it's been cleaned up - and I think that it's trouble...
Now here's a question - what do you do in this situation? Do you call the owners and politely explain what happened? It's not like they can do anything about it now.

Your neighbour, like when you called about hearing the dog, may be honestly unaware that he's being a pain in the arse. It sounds like he's just oblivious to the fact that other people are around him and that what he's doing is annoying.
I'd maybe take him over a tray of cookies, then say "BTW, your dog was over in our yard the other day and left us a 'present', could you please keep him confined to your yard? We'd really appreciate it. Also, if you could refrain from doing yard work with heavy, noisy machinary after 9pm that would be great too. Thanks!" Smile big and walk away.
And I am fairly certain that excessive noise after 11pm is against the law no matter where you are. A lawn tractor would be considered excessive.
Meanwhile, sorry to hear that your neighbour's an ass.

Actually, two different neightbours... The Jack's humans are very nice, and that was odd behaviour for her, just on top of everything else, it felt like too much! (I will let them know just in case maybe she isn't well.) I'll have to pick my moment to talk to the other neighbour. Like when everyone is calm...

Better yet, scoop up the Jack Russell's present, set it on fire and drop it off at the other neighbor's house next time he starts up the construction equipment. LOL!!!! (just kidding!!! or maybe I'm not... muhahaha!)

I would have called them and asked them to please come over and clean it.
