Hey - Where Did January Go?

Hard to believe that the first month of 2007 is almost over! Yikes - doesn't time move quickly? On the knitting front, I put my Sock Bag Swap parcel into the mail today. I actually met the mailing deadline! I'm working away on socks for younger son this evening. I needed something mindless, although I may switch to something more complex once the guys have gone to bed. It's so much easier to knit without trying to answer questions that relate to things that I have never ever thought about... Oh the workings of a little boy's mind!

Has anyone else noticed that a surprising number of knitters' blogs include cats? There must be some strange connection there... Here is my newest furry buddy.

You can just tell that he has "attitude" can't you? It's a good thing he is so cute - it is the only excuse that gets him off the hook for bad behvaviour!

It's Late... It's COLD!!!

Just sitting here at the computer while I half watch television - Law & Order tonight. I'm a HUGE fan of crime TV shows. I love all of the Law & Order family, but I am especially taken with Criminal Minds these days. I really liked the episode this week - "The Bogeyman". "Why?" you ask. Tech-guru-genius girl, Penelope Garcia, whose personal style and wardrobe I have always lusted after, was knitting! Wow!!! Sorry all, but I am convinced that most of us knitters are really geeks... But then again, geeks are typically very bright and interesting people (excuse while I admire myself).

In the midst of all of the usual weekend things, I hope to be able to finish my Sock Bag Swap package. I need to get it in the mail early next week. I was doing just fine, until I discovered that my well mapped out plan wasn't so well thought out... Oh well - Plan B has been developed and is almost complete!

Stay warm, and just knit faster if you start to get cold.

Uh - Hi?

Okay - so I'm new to this. Allow me to introduce myself - aside from being an avid knitter, I am a Mom, wife, full-time employee, volunteer, housekeeper, maid and other tasks as assigned. Yes - I do my best to keep busy! Sometimes too busy and it is the rythmic clicking of my needles that keeps me sane. This all seems a little bit daunting! I'm not exactly technologically brilliant. I have NEVER figured out how to record with my VCR and why learn now? You can't even buy tapes for those thingies anymore...

What do I like to knit? "Everything" should just about cover it... Currently on the needles I have a pair of socks for my younger son, a pair of Camelot socks for me (almost 2 years...), Rogue, the Lizard Ridge Afghan (14 of 24 blocks done) and a variety of other things that live in bags waiting for the spring cleaning treasure hunt.

Bear with me as I get the hang of this... We'll see how it goes!
