The reality is that I have been debating about this swap since I first became aware of it... The more I learned the more intrigued I became. When I got a heads up from our swap hostess about how spots were filling up quickly - I was IN!!! I think that this is going to be so much fun! If you're really quick, at last tally there was still the possibility that you might just get in...
1) Do you knit, crochet or both? How long have you been doing it?
I am a knitter. I haven't truly mastered crochet but all of those cute little Amigurumis keep taunting me... I may have to learn it just a bit. I have been knitting for close to 30 years... Gosh - that makes me feel old!
2) What is on your needles/hook right now?
I've just cast off my swatch for Secret of the Stole II, so that isn't quite on my needles yet... (It will be tomorrow with the first clue.) And I'm still debating about my Sock It To Me Twice socks, so that aren't really on the needle yet either, but I had better get cracking. There is a scarf that is probably 75% done that has seen active time recently... And my older sister is turning 45 in February and I bought the yarn for an Alan Dart Gnome for her today, so that will be "on the needles" soon, too... What was the question? Okay, so I just don't feel like digging through the basket right now. There are "a few" sweaters in there, but I'm not entirely sure what else right now.
3) What is the most frequently used tool in your knitting bag?
My retractable measuring tape, followed closely by my notebook.
4) What are your 3 favorite yarns (fiber type or brand)? What are your 3 least favorite?
I don't really have any favourite brands, but I do have a strong preference for natural fibres so - wool, cotton, silk... (In reality I like all natural fibres.) Least favourites might be easier - anything involving words like "Phentex", "Sayelle" or "durable manmade fibres".
5) What is your favorite color?
I'm a pink, purple and green kind of girl, with some blue thrown in for good measure.
6) If you had a 5 minute shopping spree in your LYS, how would you plan your attack?
Fortunately, my LYS isn't that big and I am confident that I could clear all of the shelves in 5 minutes. However, theoretically I would need garbage bags. My starting point is the Manos del Urugauy, moving across the front of the store to take out the alpaca (various brands), the Noro, the Lana Gatto, skipping over the synthetics and onto the Patons SWS and Classic Wool before rounding the final corner to the sock yarn and finally the cash.
7) What is your favorite FO and why? (post a pic if you have it!)
My favourite non-wearable is my Lizard Ridge afghan. My favourite wearable is a beaded sweater I made from the Rowan 35 magazine... I hope to get a photo take of it soon so that I can get it up on Ravelry.
8) What are your favorite things to knit/crochet?
I'm not really sure that I have "favourites", but I do tend to knit a lot of socks these days!
9) Do you collect anything?
Yarn, beads, buttons, pattern books...
10) What are your five favorite things (not necessarily knitting related)?
My sons, my husband (I moan and complain about him, but I do love him dearly), Salt and Vingear potato chips, my old country farmhouse and quiet time to knit. Please note that the order of these things does vary depending on the day...
11) Are you on Ravelry? What is your ID?
Yes - MissMe1964.
12) Do you drink tea/coffee/cocoa?
Yes to both coffee and tea, but not so much to cocoa.
13) Favorite Sweets?
I love sours! That's kind of contradictory, isn't it?
14) Any allergies?
No fibre allergies. No food allergies. Please don't send penicillin...
15) Do you have pets? kids?
Tiger the Cat and 2 sons - aged almost 12 and 7.5.

Looks fun. I hope you enjoy the swap!
I'm so glad that you signed up too! Wouldn't that be funny if one of us had the other as a swap partner!
And I'm with you on this one ... think of the cool things that you could get from this swap! And outlet that let's me be super creative and shop is a good thing!
I joined as well, I hope, because I am weak think 5 swaps at a time indicates some form of mental illness. I'm happy but something is desperately wrong with me, I'll have to look into it....later.
Also GNOME!!!
Yippie! I can't wait to see who I get paired up with! And, this post gives me even more ammo for the B-day swap.....so much fun I can hardly stand it! You might just have to get bait packages until July.....

:-)
I was looking at that swap the other day and thought it looked fun.
As for the 50 below wind chill, I am in northern WI. We get the wind whipping across Lake Superior all winter long. I kind of knew that the Canadians (and Alaskans) could beat me weather-wise, but it's always fun to shock the Southerners!
Thanks for your kind words about Gracie! Please email me privately when you have a chance so I can get your prize ready from the contest you won on my blog :)
