Welcome to June

Hopefully it won't be the same blur as May, but at this point I am not hopeful.
June 1st - The whole family tears out the door (late) to church. Mr. Me thinks that he is reading... We get there late and upon reading the bulletin discover that he is wrong. My thought: "For this I got out of my nice comfy jammies?"
On the way to church, Older Son had commented that I would get some alone time yesterday afternoon. Why? Well, our boat is supposed to launch this coming Thursday and after last summer out of the water due to the leak problems of 2006, there is work to be done. The kids had decided that they would go and help Dad. My thought upon this revelation: "Score! Yay ME!!!"
After an hour or so in Sunday school, they had changed their minds. My thought: "Sigh... Poor me..." But it got worse. Mr. Me started talking about everything that he needed to do on the boat. About how he needed another adult... Since I am a good wife, I selflessly asked "Do you need me to come?"
Yes, I spent yesterday afternoon at the boat yard... We had a repair done last season, but too late to launch, so hopefully the leak is fixed. Unfortunately the fact that the boat contained 21.5 buckets of water yesterday does not give me much comfort... The fact that she can hold water in doesn't mean that she can hold it out, which is, quite frankly, more important.
How did a boat on dry land, and that was dry inside last Fall and completely covered get that much water in it? I don't know, but if one of you does, PLEASE TELL ME so that we won't do it again next year! Okay?

"The fact that she can hold water in doesn't mean that she can hold it out, which is, quite frankly, more important." hmmm... now you've got me thinking about this and how it all works. One would think if water stays in it would also stay out.
