Going through the list, I have come to wonder if there isn't a difference between the American and Canadian top 100. I'm amazed at how many of those songs I have never heard of and how many of my favourites are missing. Am I really that far off the beaten path? Time has dulled any memories of songs that I truly disliked at the time, so I haven't indicated any "dislikes". And way back in '82, I actually heard some of the bolded songs above live and in concert at The Police Picnic 1982. Let's hear it for the band...!!!

I'm with you on Canadian vs American - I did it for my year and WOW - some of these songs are completely unknown. And others, well I know why they are my favourites...

Your list is better than mine. You hve the Go-Gos, John Cougar Mellencamp, the Police. I have Madonna who's songs IMO don't stand up to the test of time. You didn't like 38 Special... Caught up in you???? It seems like a song you'd like.
