What I Got for Christmas

Santa brought me Opal sock yarn!Mr. Me gave me one skein of Malabrigo Lace Weight in a lovely pink colourway. Cactus Flower...
And a skein of Alpaca with a Twist "Fino". Alpaca and silk... Yum!
And a copy of "Knitting Lingerie Style". All in all - a pretty good Christmas, but it wasn't without a hitch or two. The biggest hitch? No electricity from noon until about 5PM. Made it kind of hard to roast the turkey. We ate a 10PM... But at least we had a turkey, a warm house and we weren't stuck in an airport somewhere trying desperately to get home. How about all of you? How was your Christmas?

What a great haul! I wonder why Santa never brings me yarn?

Wow....great Yarn! Daughter elf bestowed some really yummy yarn on me too. Will have to post. Hope you had a wonderful Christmas and as the new year comes around, I hope we all finish our projects and replenish our stashes and have a very prosperous new year! This Ms. Claus made sure she was well treated with lots of goodies. LOL Facial, pedicure, and manicure..along with new yarns and gadgets and my big purchase ..a GPS so I stop getting lost! LOL

I love malabrigo laceweight, it's lovely to work with. So soft!

The pattern you were asking about, is Jewelled Steps, from Cat Bhordi's book "New Pathways for Sock Knitters". I cannot recommend that book enough. I love it.

What beautiful yarn! (I especially like the malabrigo!) Glad your Christmas worked out, even if there was a glitch with the electricity.
