Tree Update

Thanks to everyone for all of their kind comments about my poor tree... Mr. Me and the boys are junking up the limb today.

I loved Lesley's suggestion about the duct tape - very Canadian, very Red Green - although Mr. Me didn't think that it would be a good idea.

The suggestions about having the wood milled were great, and we're looking into it. The tree is White Pine, so it would make excellent furniture. I think that it is probably too soft for knitting needles, but maybe a nice box or trunk to house stash in would be good!

We're still not sure about the fate of the rest of the tree, but we are going to try and save it. Oh - out of curiousity, I measured the limb that came off. Eight and a half feet around the base of the limb...
